“The dedicated life is the life worth living.
You must give with your whole heart.” ~ Annie Dillard, Holy the Firm
A pragmatic, exploratory weekend for those dissatisfied with pursuing dwarfed life-goals, wanting to lift the fog of mundane living, or looking for keys to successful accomplishment of a grand objective….The 2011 TAT Fall Workshop will be held over the Labor Day weekend, Friday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 4th. Sessions will investigate issues such as dedication vs. keeping our options open, acting vs. waiting, whole-heartedness vs. caution, thinking vs. feeling, doing vs. avoiding, effort vs. flow, will vs. passivity, and other oppositions that are relevant to the participants. The weekend begins with a standalone session on Friday evening for those who can arrive early. On Saturday, participants split into small groups for two interactive workshops (see details), coming back together for other activities. Participants again split into groups for a third workshop on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon wraps up the workshops with friendly feedback by and for all participants. Free time for informal talking, walking meditation, and other activities is scheduled for both afternoons, as is a before-dinner rapport sitting. For those able to stay, Sunday evening allows for a silent period to process the weekend and unstructured time in which spontaneous sessions may develop.

The registration deadline is Friday, August 26th.
